This trip runs from Sunday 23 June to Saturday 29 June
DAY 1: Overnight on coach
Sunday 23 June - Coach departs Jedburgh Grammar School at 2130hrs and travels South with comfort stops en route as required.
DAY 2: 1st night in Ypres
Monday 24 June - Check in at Dover no later than 0730hrs. Ferry departs approx. 0900hrs.
Arrive Calais approx. 1130hrs.
Transfer to Vimy Ridge (arriving approx. 1230hrs) for a visit to the Monument, Trenches & Visitor Centre.
Return to coach approx. 1400/1430hrs and head to Ypres for a visit to Flanders Field Museum.
Check into the Ypres Lodge approx. 1800hrs. Evening meal in lodge at 1930hrs.
Time at leisure.
DAY 3: 2nd night in Ypres
Tuesday 25 June - Breakfast from 0700hrs. (Packed lunch provided)
Group to meet with a Tour Guide outside the Tourist Office in Ypres at 0830hrs.
Visits today will include: Passchendaele Museum, Hill 62 Memorial & Museum, Tynecot Cemetery, Langemark Cemetery & any other sights of interest – time permitting
Evening meal in the Gasthof Z’weerd Restaurant 1730hrs.
Evening at the Last Post Ceremony.
DAY 4: 3rd night in Ypres
Wednesday 26 June - Breakfast from 0730hrs. (Packed lunch provided)
Group to meet with a Tour Guide outside the Tourist Office in Ypres at 0900hrs.
Visits today will include: Newfoundland Park (Beaumont Hamel), Thiepval, Ulster Tower, Lochnager Crater, Hearts Memorial, Delville Wood & any other sights of interest – time permitting.
Leonidas Chocolate Shop 1730hrs. Entry is free of charge with time in the shop to taste & buy chocolates.
Return to accommodation. Evening meal at 2000hrs
DAY 5: 4th night in Ypres
Thursday 27 June - Breakfast from 0730hrs. (Packed lunch provided)
The group will spend the day at Bellewaerde Theme Park.
Return to hotel approx. 1900hrs. Evening meal at 2000hrs.
DAY 6: Overnight on Ferry
Friday 28 June - Breakfast from 0730hrs.
Check out & depart approx. 0900hrs. (Packed lunch provided)
Transfer to Brugge for free time including a visit to Rooses Chocolate Shop at 1200hrs.
Time at leisure.
Check in at Zeebrugge no later than 1700hrs. Ferry departs approx. 1900hrs. Evening meal on ferry.
DAY 7: Return Home
Saturday 29 June - Breakfast on ferry.
Arrive Hull approx. 0830hrs.
Travel North with comfort stops en route as required.
Arrive at Jedburgh Grammar School approx. 1400hrs.

Some of the most important poetry of the twentieth century was written in the trenches of the First World War. We will be visiting some of the spots where famous poems were written and will look at them in context.
